Greetings and Salutations

Very pleased you are visiting our humble atelier.  DSP is dedicated to reprinting antiquarian Napoleonic texts for the scholar and history buff alike.  In many cases, for the first time in nearly two hundred years works are once again available.  Originally published in very limited editions, that can now command a royal ransom at auction, some of our titles are the very best on their subject matter in the Napoleonic canon.  One example is Chelminski's and Malibran's L’Armée du Duché de Varsovie.  Highly prized and sought after for the color plates by Chelminski, only one thousand numbered copies were published in 1913; in the past couple of years two originals sold for $1,500 and $1,800.  Moreover, this is regarded as THE work on the army of the Duchy of Warsaw.  DSP is very proud to bring this classic and others back into print.

A brief word about DSP's publications.  All books are 8¾" x 5¾", hard bound, with 3/4 marbled boards, gilt headbands with attached bookmark, sewn signatures, and printed on quality paper. Each edition is limited to 500 numbered copies unless noted otherwise.  Attention to detail ensures DSP's editions shall be greatly valued and treasured by the most astute collector.  For example, unlike other reprints on the market, all plates are pain-stakingly "tipped-in" and not gathered to form a section of illustrations; this process is time consuming and expensive but the appropriate method in keeping with DSP's quality standard and with the integrity of the original.  Furthermore, there are over fifty Italian marble designs available for the covers.  Please note each marble sheet is unique; no two are alike other than the general pattern and colors employed.  Time and consideration is spent in selecting the right one which then is "color-matched" with the book cloth for the spine and paper stock for the interior text.  The finished book is very pleasing to behold; being the perfect marriage of color.  Below are six samples, left to right respectively:   1st row - Steffens, Krasinski, and Wilson, and 2nd row - Tyszkiewicz, Chelminski, and JOB.
