All books are 8¾" x 5¾", hard bound, with 3/4 marbled boards, gilt headbands with attached bookmark, sewn signatures, and printed on quality paper. Each edition is limited to 500 numbered copies unless noted otherwise. Attention to detail ensures DSP's editions shall be greatly valued and treasured by the most astute collector. For example, unlike other reprints on the market, all plates are pain-stakingly "tipped-in" and not gathered to form a section of illustrations; this process is time consuming and expensive but the appropriate method in keeping with DSP's quality standard and with the integrity of the original. Furthermore, there are over fifty Italian marble designs available for the covers. Please note each marble sheet is unique; no two are alike other than the general pattern and colors employed. Time and consideration is spent in selecting the right one which then is "color-matched" with the book cloth for the spine and paper stock for the interior text. The finished book is very pleasing to behold; being the perfect marriage of color.
